Business Objects [also referred to as BO, BOBJ] is part of SAP
AG. At the time of the most recent release there were over 46,000

In spite of some marketing claims as being interactive, Crystal
Reports is a relatively static reporting tool that provides some
of the more advanced development features, such as on screen filtering
and Mash Ups. It is not an analytics tool; this capability is provided
in the Business Objects suite by Xcelcius.
Crystal Reports main capability is as software that connects to
most data sources, allowing end users to use on-report sorting and
filtering to help reduce information to that required to execute
decisions more quickly.
Crystal Reports Visual Advantage
Crystal Reports Visual Advantage is a bundled product suite that
includes Crystal Reports and Xcelsius Engage. Xcelsius provides
greater formating capability and adds functionality to support what-if
scenario models and interactive charts delivered via the Web, e-mail,
Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF, or embedded in enterprise applications.
